How to Delete Volume Shadow in Windows 7

windows 7 shadow volume
The Microsoft Windows operating system includes Shadow Copy technology that allows the system to manually or automatically generate snapshots of your computer's current data. The volume shadow copies contain old copies of files. System Restore uses the files in the volume shadow copies to restore your system to a previous working state, if necessary. Volume shadow copies take up a significant amount of hard disk space. You can delete the volume shadow copies from your system to reclaim disk space.
