How to Change Startup Programs in Windows 7

Microsoft has made many changes to the Windows operating system. Suppose you want install various application on your windows PC over the time because of slower boots up. Startup programs loads from specific folder on the hard drive when your system started. By changing startup program settings you can improve your Windows PC startup time and performance. Follow the given steps to fix your problems.

  • Start your computer. 
  • Click on “Start” button and type “msconfig” in the search text box and press enter to open System Configuration Console.Or Click the Windows Key and the R at the same time to open the Run Command and Type “msconfig” and Click OK; this will open the System Configuration .

  • In System Configuration, go to the Startup tab.
  • Uncheck all programs that you don’t want to automatically start up ( Note that some programs should not be unchecked because they are important for Windows to function optimally.).
  • Click Apply. The startup programs are now disabled. Only the Checked programs will now begin at startup.
